Elcomsoft Phone Breaker is now available for Mac OS! Elcomsoft Phone Breaker for Mac runs natively on Mac OS X 10.7 and newer, and offers the familiar look and feel of the Windows version – no need to learn new tricks to use it! The new tool offers the same iCloud acquisition features of the Windows edition, and comes with Mac OS versions of command-line tools to extract binary authentication tokens from suspects’ hard drives. And of course it can use those tokens to log in to iCloud even if you don’t know the user’s Apple ID and password! It can also decrypt encrypted backups and access information stored in the keychain.

What it doesn’t (yet) do is actually breaking passwords if you don’t know them yet. We decided to skip this feature, at least in the initial release, as Mac OS hardware being used by our customers is relatively slow compared to Windows workstations with powerful GPU’s required to break long and complex passwords.

Elcomsoft Phone Breaker for Mac can be downloaded immediately. The tool can be purchased separately (Forensic and Professional edition). If you already own a Windows version, you’ll be able to purchase Elcomsoft Phone Breaker for Mac at a significant discount.
